Hear Little Racer’s Booze-Fueled Mission Statement ‘Punk Life’

little racer, punk life, modern accent EP

Little Racer are based in Brooklyn but first made a splash across the pond, landing a deal with London imprint Young and Lost Club, who put out the Yanks’ “Split for the Coast”/”The Town” 7-inch in late 2011. Now, the foursome — consisting of singer-guitarist Elliot Michaud, bassist Ish Nazmi, guitarist Wade Michael, and drummer Dave Tedeschi — have signed with a new label, PaperCup Music, and announced a new EP, Modern Accent. Out April 4, the upcoming effort spans six songs, including the New Order-indebted “Dancing” (first heard via Filter) and the just-revealed “Punk Life,” a rubbery bit of surf-rock. “Everybody knows that I love the punk life,” Michaud sings. “And you can see it in my face, babe / I’ve been drinking all night.”

Jump into the fray below, and pre-order the Modern Accent EP through iTunes or PaperCup.
