Jonwayne’s Office Drone Goes Postal in ‘How to Be a Gemini’ Video

Jonwayne 'How to Be a Gemini' Video Rap Album One

Jonwayne’s official on-the-mike debut arrived last year, but the excellent Rap Album One continues to deliver well into 2014. In January, the Los Angeles MC/producer caught shine with the video for “The Come Up” (see him rhyme inside of a diamond), and now we’ve got a very different sort of clip for “How to Be a Gemini.” Instead of the Stones Throw artist, we see an office drone driven to extremes, and his workplace fantasy made real by director Naveed Farro. Meanwhile, the menacing, minimal track keeps the focus on Jon’s rhymes: “There’s no ground where I’m walking / Upon the shoulder blade of Atlas / My pen and pad ready / Cool tongue on the steady / Hold the fist like a fascist.” Watch the man strut in person at a show below.
