DMX Reiterates He Will Beat George Zimmerman’s Ass

DMX might be eager to fight (and, uh, urinate on) George Zimmerman in a “celebrity boxing match,” but the upcoming throwdown isn’t official yet. Speaking with FOX News recently (via Rap Radar), the rapper said he hasn’t formally accepted the offer to get into the ring with Zimmerman, who was exonerated in the 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

“I was challenged,” DMX said. “I still haven’t really decided whether I was going to do it, but if I did do it, whatever money that was supposed to go to him would have to go to charity.”

Zimmerman told RadarOnline last month he’d already picked a charity to benefit from his potential beatdown, though he wouldn’t reveal which one due to concerns of a backlash. Overseeing the supposed March 1 event is Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman, who has previously booked match-ups involving scandal magnets Joey Buttafuoco and Tonya Harding. DMX was chosen from a pool of 15,000 applicants eager to spar with Zimmerman, organizers revealed on February 5 (which would’ve been Trayvon Martin’s 19th birthday — an extra detail that makes this tabloid-baiting bout even more tasteless).

But the ink isn’t dry on the contract yet. “It’s not a done deal,” DMX told FOX. Still, the native New Yorker added that he “will gladly beat the shit out of” Zimmerman, noting, “When you fight with your heart, you’re always going to win.” Watch the FOX story above.
