Beck will follow his Morning Phase with a late-night appearance on NBC. The alt-rock legend is set to serve as the musical guest for the March 1 episode of Saturday Night Live, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Jim Parsons, star of CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, will make his SNL hosting debut that same night. The upcoming telecast — which is the next new episode of the long-running sketch show — marks Beck’s seventh turn as musical performer on SNL. He last graced the Studio 8H stage in October of 2006, just a few weeks after he released The Information.

This time, Beck will visit Lorne Michaels’ den just days after he drops his 12th studio album, Morning Phase. The Capitol Records-sanctioned LP arrives on February 25, complete with previously heard tracks “Blue Moon” and “Waking Light.” In case you somehow didn’t already know this, it’s one of 50 Albums You Gotta Hear in 2014.
