The Knife will follow their upcoming Coachella appearance with a proper North American tour. The Swedish brother-sister duo plans to bring their totally bonkers live show — which features “danceoke” and “Death Electro Emo Protest Aerobics” — to a handful of cities this April.

In a recent blog post, the Knife explained that the upcoming gigs will be slightly different from the Shaking the Habitual shows they played in Europe last year. “With care and attention, we gathered our impressions and got back together to rework the show,” the Knife wrote. “This is a continuation. Some songs are the same, some songs are new. Moves are added and changed. Some instruments are electrified and more voices are heard. Things glow and along the way we have elevated ourselves.”

The Knife will play a single show in Oakland on April 15, in between their two Coachella slots, and then hit venues in Denver, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and New York. Light Asylum’s Shannon Funchess, who sings on Shaking the Habitual, will join the Knife’s Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer on the stage.
