The Sundance Film Festival is under way in Park City, Utah, and SPIN is making a big, snowy splash this weekend with a pair of star-studded events done in partnership with YouTube.
YouTube has its very own venue at 596 Main Street — fittingly called YouTube on Main Street — that will host live music, DJ sets, and discussion panels. On Saturday (January 18), festivalgoers can catch a performance by Cults, who released their second album Static last year, and a night-capping DJ set from none other than LCD Soundsystem visionary James Murphy.
On Sunday, Blur/Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn will play a solo set consisting of new material and Blur favorites. He’ll then be followed by Neon Indian, who will DJ from 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Find details on the upcoming events below, and stay tuned for SPIN’s ongoing Sundance coverage: We’ve already rounded up the Definitive Music Guide to the festival, and weighed in on writer-director Damian Chazelle’s Whiplash.
