Idiotic Campaign to Exile Justin Bieber Will Now Waste Your Tax Dollars

Justin Bieber, deportation, Canada, Miami, arrest

Justin Bieber’s dopey Lamborghini drag-racing arrest last week has officially become a matter worthy of your federal tax dollars. As The Hollywood Reporter points out, a whitehouse.gov petition that calls for deporting the Canadian singer has passed its goal of 100,000 signatures. The Obama administration’s admirably but ridiculously responsive rules require it to reply to such petitions when they’ve met their signature goal.

Much like the mainstream media’s obsession with the “bad boy” pop star, the petition will almost certainly turn out to be a waste of everyone’s time and resources. As AP reports, U.S. immigration law only allows the government to scrap someone’s visa if that person has been sentenced to more than one year in prison or convicted of a violent crime.

“We the people of the United States,” the petition by “J.A.” from Detroit states, “would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked.” (The extra comma is totally J.A.’s, by the way.) The Founding Fathers would be so proud.

Bieber’s DUI arraignment is set for Valentine’s Day, although that information is just for yuks, too, because he isn’t required to attend. Anyway, getting banished to Ontario might not be so unwelcome for the Biebz. Gossip site Radar Online claims Bieber wants to quit music for a while to open a tattoo parlor. The State of the Union is … hey, Canada, watch out for cocaine-associated egg raids.
