This holiday season has seen the usual wave of Christmas-themed one-off songs, and now we have one less-than-usual addition to the list, courtesy of Unknown Mortal Orchestra. On December 25, the psych-pop trio shared a new track on Bandcamp with a simple message: “MERRY XMAS.” Titled “SB-01,” the 22-minute instrumental melds ambient hum with strains of Eastern folk music, spacey sonic flourishes, and found sound.
