In case you’re not already aware, Ron Burgundy is kind of a big deal. Will Ferrell’s d-bag savant recently toured Amsterdam with Daft Punk, and rubbed elbows with Kanye West and Drake on the set of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, out now in movie theaters across the country. To promote the comedy blockbuster, Ferrell — as Burgundy — crashed Jimmy Kimmel Live! on December 19 to duet with yacht-rock king Christopher Cross. Wearing a ship captain’s hat and sporting his signature mustache, Burgundy crowded Cross onstage and barked backup vocals on the singer-songwriter’s first-ever single, 1980’s “Ride Like the Wind,” which also appears on the Anchorman 2 soundtrack. Watch the performance above, and scroll down for a trailer to Anchorman 2. And never forget: When Ron Burgundy rides, he rides like the wind.
