Migos Just Want to Get Rid of These ‘Ounces’ Already

Migos 'Ounces' Stream Monday

Migos unleashed another crisply popping track in honor of #MigosMonday. “Ounces” is a weed-slinger’s anthem that finds the Atlanta trio applying their usual verbal acrobatics to the task at hand: “All I ever wanted was to get rid of them ounces, ounces, ounces … whole lot of ounces.” Metro Boomin and Zaytoven provide the beat, which incorporates a little dubwise melodica as tribute, no doubt, to the original ganja-farmers. It’s a solid entry, and a reminder of why Migos’ Y.R.N. placed so high in SPIN’s 40 Best Hip-Hop Albums of the Year. And also why we’re eagerly awaiting Y.R.N. 2. For other recent entries from the Versace gang, check out “Emmitt Smith,” “Ran Up the Money,” and “Jackie Chan,” the last featuring their spirit animal Gucci Mane. Speaking of: Watch out for the koalas!
