Eminem has shared the full music video for “The Monster,” a primed-for-radio, Rihanna-featuring cut from his eighth album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Directed by Rich Lee, the clip comes days after Em dropped a minute-long teaser for the collaboration and follows a string of MMLP2 videos (see “Berzerk,” “Survival,” and “Rap God”). In this one, Slim Shady travels back in time through the corridors of his own mind, reliving famous moments from his career (and past music videos).

Consider the cinematic short a capper to a strong 2013 for Marshall “I Just Rap” Mathers. The Detroit MC followed his 2010 Recovery LP with a sturdy full-length that helped earn him the title of “the greatest rapper alive, sort of,” from SPIN. MMLP2 also nabbed a fair amount of year-end accolades, placing on SPIN’s 50 Best Albums of 2013 and 40 Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2013, while album highlight “So Far…” ranked among SPIN’s 50 Best Rap Songs of 2013 and 50 Best Songs of 2013.
