Adele and PJ Harvey have both been recognized by the British royal family with MBE awards, one of the highest honors a British subject can receive. As People reports, the singers were declared members of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire during a December 19 ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

Prince Charles handed out the medals, which, in the cases of Ms. Adele Adkins and Ms. PJ Harvey, acknowledge their “services to music.” Other recipients of the MBE title include broadcaster Aled Jones and author Joanne Harris.

PJ can set the esteemed medal alongside her pair of Mercury Prizes, while Adele will have to rearrange her Grammys, Golden Globe, and Academy Award to make room in her trophy case.

“It was an honor to be recognized and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people,” the 21 singer said in an official statement. “Very posh indeed.”
