See Thao & the Get Down Stay Down Christen a Bridge in ‘The Feeling Kind’

Thao & The Get Down Stay Down The Feeling Kind Video EP

We recently had the honor of speaking to Thao Nguyen in her hometown of San Francisco, shortly after she’d shredded and shouted the Outside Lands Festival with lovely aplomb. The Get Down Stay Down leader clearly had a soft spot for her city and the new video (via Stereogum) for her sax-bomping single “The Feeling Kind” pays stellar treatment to S.F.’s brand new landmark: the Bay Bridge, um revisited. The utopian-looking new structure opened up to the public mere weeks ago and Nguyen wasted no time in testing out the pedestrian path. Seen above, she wrangles bandmates and feathered friends for a purposeful march over the water. This particular highlight from Thao’s latest album We the Common now tops its very own EP. The Feeling Kind also includes covers of songs by Melanie, the Troggs, and Yo La Tengo, and is out now on Ribbon Music.
