Mudhoney’s Mark Arm Diving Into ‘The Soup’ Tonight on E!

mudhoney, the soup, mark arm, vanishing point

Back in July, Mudhoney made their first television appearance in nearly 20 years, barraging Late Night With Jimmy Fallon with two highlights from their ninth album, Vanishing Point. Now, frontman Mark Arm is set to return to the small screen, this time as a guest on E!’s The Soup. According to a post on the Seattle legends’ Facebook, Arm will chat with host and Community star Joel McHale tonight, November 6. See the photo above for visual proof.

Arm’s latest TV gig comes at the tail-end of a busy year for the alt-rock godfathers. Aside from dropping the follow-up to 2008’s The Lucky Ones, Mudhoney also celebrated their 25th anniversary, performed atop their home city’s iconic Space Needle, were honored with their very own ice cream flavor, and served as the inspiration for a recently released book titled Mudhoney: The Sound & Fury From Seattle. Written by Keith Cameron, the 272-page tribute promises (via Amazon) to be “the definitive account of the original grunge band.” It’s out now via Omnibus Press.

Be sure to read SPIN’s lengthy interview with the band about their newest LP, and check back tomorrow morning for a breakdown of Arm’s Soup spot.
