Stream Super Wild Horses’ Sweetly Fuzzy ‘Crosswords’ Album

super wild horses, crosswords

Earlier this year, Australian duo Super Wild Horses dropped their second album, Crosswords, in their homeland Down Under. On October 29, the follow-up to 2010’s Fifteen will see an official release in the U.S. via Dot Dash Recordings. Members Amy Franz and Hayley McKee crafted much of the full-length in a temporary studio set up in an unused butter factory and then finessed the material with added instrumentation, percussion, and vocals in a proper recording space, Australia’s Transient Studios. Featuring nods to country and soul (including a lo-fi cover of Smokey Robinson’s “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me”), Crosswords delivers 13 tracks of bubblegum garage rock, all of which can be heard below. Scroll down to stream Crosswords in its entirety, days before it lands stateside.
