El-P and Killer Mike forged a powerful alliance in 2012 on the latter’s R.A.P. Music. The bond was so strong they decided to start a whole new project: Run the Jewels, which resulted in an excellent self-titled album this year and a likely follow-up in 2014 (El-P recently confirmed Run the Jewels 2 is in the works). Though the two told SPIN their bond involves the bygone era of dookie chains and LL Cool J, El’s futuristic aural dystopias and Mike’s on-the-nose tear-down of modern politics are equally crucial to their sound. More than that, though, these guys rap their asses off — a timeless art if ever there was one. In the new clip for “Get It” above, we witness the pair doing exactly that while on tour, plus get excellent images of them rolling and smoking blunts, chilling in tropical climes, doing ridiculous dances, and mean-mugging with Das Racist’s Kool A.D. in front of the White House.
