Paul McCartney returns to Abbey Road in his latest music video, the official clip for New single “Queenie Eye.” Directed by Simon Aboud, the just-released short finds the former Beatle recording the track in the famed London studio with a little help from his very famous friends. Johnny Depp, Kate Moss, Meryl Streep, Jude Law, Sean Penn, Jeremy Irons, Chris Pine, and more appear in the clip, which finds Macca pounding out the fuzz-covered song in the middle of the star-filled gathering. Basically, it’s McCartney’s personal rolodex set in motion. The piece’s closest spiritual companion? Michael Jackson’s 1989 mini-movie for “Liberian Girl,” which packed in cameos from John Travolta, Steven Spielberg, Paula Abdul, Dan Aykroyd, and many others (Bubbles included, natch). Watch the Hollywood-mining video for “Queenie Eye” above. Macca’s New is out now and currently No. 1.
