Nick Zinner Polishes SQURL’s ‘Pink Dust’ for Radio Edit Remix

SQÜRL, nick zinner, jim jarmusch, ep #2

Jim Jarmusch’s SQÜRL project will continue its trilogy of EPs with its second release, the aptly named EP #2. Out November 5 via ATP Recordings, the four-track collection will be limited to 1,000 physical copies, all of which are pressed as a deluxe, 12-inch vinyl picture-disc. The hand-numbered platters come with an art postcard (taken from Luc Sante’s Folk Photography book), a download code for a digital version of EP #2, and a complimentary download of Nick Zinner’s remix of SQÜRL’s “Pink Dust.”

Judging from the snippet ATP has shared, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist does away with the droning pace of the EP #1 highlight, substituting the foggy screeching of the original with pounding percussion and snapping beats. Stream a two-and-a-half-minute preview of Zinner’s “Pink Dust” radio edit below, and scroll further for the full track list to EP #2. Pre-orders of the forthcoming short-player — which once again teams Jarmusch with bandmates Carter Logan and Shane Stoneback — are currently available through the ATP website.

EP #2 track list:

1. “Purple Dust”
2. “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”
3. “Tangier ’57”
4. “The Boat of Love”
