Hear LIZ’s ’90s-Celebrating R&Bass Feat ‘Stop Me Cold’

LIZ Stop Me Cold EP Diplo Jeffrees Mad Decent Stream

When last we heard from LIZ, the ’90s R&B-loving Valley Girl teamed with Canuck beatsmith Ryan Hemsworth for the blissful “Day N Nite.” Now, after a pair of two-song sets via Diplo’s Mad Decent subsidiary Jeffree’s (home to Baauer and Zebra Katz), she’s prepping the “Stop Me Cold” single for a December 10 official release. You’ll find the titular track below and it plays just as we’ve come to expect: equal parts soulful groove and spangly pop, with production nods to Ghost town DJs’ “My Boo” and the greater Aaliyah oeuvre, of course. LIZ recently implied via Twitter that she’s been working with ‘N Sync member JC Chasez. She is also currently out on the road with Charli XCX, who was recently tapped for studio work by Britney Spears. Stream “Stop Me Cold” below, and download it via LIZ on Facebook.
