See King Krule Dress Up ‘Easy Easy’ for Network TV Debut

King Krule made his U.S. network television debut on Monday, and 19-year-old Archy Marshall dressed for the occasion. The London crooner and his supporting players donned their best suits to appear on the Late Show With David Letterman and perform “Easy Easy,” a Billy Bragg-y single featured on Krule’s debut album, 6 Feet Beneath the Moon. All right, so the threads hung a bit loose on Marshall’s thin frame (not unlike the oversized suit seen in the song’s official video) and he was sporting a bit of ginger-colored scruff, but the singer-songwriter still managed to appear wise beyond his years, thanks to his tight guitar strums and signature deep snarl. Watch the clip above, and check out another live performance from King Krule, filmed for “Church of Nobody,” an eight-part video series organized by outsider bluesman Willis Earl Beal.
