Earlier this week, bassline guru and U.K. garage aficionado DJ Q revealed the title track from his forthcoming EP for Party Like Us Records, Sound Boy Connection. He’s already rolled out another cut from the record, “Oh Yeah,” a joint effort with Party Like Us label boss AC Slater. The track is equal parts banger and burner: Q and Slater balance segments of low-slung beats and ferocious grime warbles with more serene stretches that feature blunted chord stabs under a wavering synth melody.
Although the Sound Boy Connection EP doesn’t drop until October 15, you can stream and download “Oh Yeah” below and pre-order all four tracks here.
