Brooklyn-based synth wizards St. Lucia are currently in the process of being evicted from their studio and practice space, so the warehouse they operate out of can be converted into (what else) condominiums. As a last hurrah, project leader Jean-Philip Grobler and supporting players decided to throw one final rooftop party. In the spirit of efficiency, St. Lucia filmed the shindig and have repurposed the footage into their new video for “Elevate,” the irrepressible lead single from upcoming debut album When the Night. Take part in the glorious, summertime celebration by hitting the play button above (via Noisey) and watch out for cameos from members of Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, who are friends of St. Lucia and are also being kicked out of the NYC warehouse.
When the Night drops on October 8 via Neon Gold/Columbia. It’ll come complete with “Too Close,” another expertly crafted dance-floor daydream.
