Disclosure Induce Nausea With Interactive ‘Latch’ Video

disclosure, latch, tour dates

Last month, Disclosure commandeered New York City’s Central Park for a performance at the annual SummerStage series. Now, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence have taken a cue from Beck and Sigur Rós and shared an interactive, 360-degree video capturing part of the set. Naturally, the U.K. duo opted to highlight “Latch,” the Sam Smith-assisted track from their Essential (and Mercury Prize-nominated) debut album, Settle. The clip focuses on the final six minutes of Disclosure’s August 6 show, which features a guest appearance from Smith himself. Watch the video above, navigate across the stage and through the crowd with your mouse, and prepare for some nausea and dizziness.

Fans who’d rather see the producing pair in person will soon have the chance. Disclosure have just added a slew of tour dates to their live schedule, ensuring that they’ll be fiddling with the “Latch” through March of 2014. European, Australian, and North American gigs are lined up for this fall (including stops at Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit and Treasure Island Music Festival), followed by another full leg of North American performances and a trio of U.K. concerts in the winter.

Somehow, the brothers Lawrence have found the time to return to the studio with Smith and — wait for it — Nile Rodgers. The disco legend confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday (September 17) that he’s recording with Disclosure in London, and, as if that wasn’t enough evidence, a photo of the Lawrence boys, Smith, and Rodgers kicking it together has shown up on Facebook. Bummer that Daft Punk couldn’t make it.
