Riff Raff Makes Bid for NFL Contract on ‘Raiders vs. Hawks’

Riff Raff, Raiders Hawks

RiFF RaFF’s forthcoming Mad Decent debut NEON iCON is allegedly in the works, but in the meantime the slow trickle of new tracks continues. Today brings the studio version of “Raiders vs. Hawks,” a track that he’s had sitting in his back pocket for a number of months. It is produced by Lex Luger — whose crown as “hottest producer in rap” was long ago snatched by Mike Will Made It — and features RiFF RaFF waxing nearly non-sensical ion cars, drugs, jewelry and, of course, various old athletes (Bill Laimbeer!). The Los Angeles rapper has given no indication that the song will — or will not — appear on NEON iCON

“Raiders vs. Hawks” almost works as a complimentary piece to the recent “Mr. Popular” if not “Ballin’ Outta Control,” his extra-trolly non-response response to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” stunner.
