King Krule debuted a brand new song during a live session at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios yesterday (August 21). The deep-voiced Londoner, born Archy Marshall, stopped by Zane Lowe’s radio show to promote his much-anticipated debut album, 6 Feet Beneath the Moon, which drops on August 24 — the same day Marshall turns the ripe old age of 19.
Between brief interview segments, the sullen singer-songwriter performed two nocturnal tracks from his upcoming LP (“Easy, Easy” and “The Krockadile”) before unveiling a previously unheard non-album track titled “La Lune” (via Abeano). Described by Marshall as a work-in-progress, the “rough” tune complements his previous output, tossing out jazzy guitar licks and slurred lyrical swoons.
