UPDATE: Hear Eminem’s new song “Survival” with 100 percent less war noise in the SoundCloud clip below, courtesy of Shady Records.

The new Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer debuted today. Oh, and it included the first brand new Eminem single to emerge since the Detroit rap legend’s 2010 LP Recovery. The hard-grinding “Survival” features an anthemic, guitar-looping beat and the raw rhyme skills of Marshall Mathers, who comes out swinging: “Wasn’t ready to be a millionaire, I was ill-prepared / I was prepared to be ill though, the skill was there.” One can’t help but picture him, cap pulled down low with a fist full of microphone as he lets us know, “It ain’t over till I say it’s over.” Of course, we instead get visuals of geared-up German Shepherds and grenade-lobbing soldiers while the Sounds of War do their best to obscure Slim Shady’s fresh bomb-drop. The assumption is that “Survival” will land on Eminem’s forthcoming eighth album which, as Consequence of Sound reports, is now confirmed for a fall release.
