Hear Dolorean Cover Radiation City’s ‘The Color of Industry’ for Charity

Dolorean

Portland’s Dolorean are affiliated with Marmoset Music, a boutique music agency that helps local musicians score original works for films, commercials, and other creative projects. After a spate of recent success — Marmoset has already produced multiple Super Bowl commercials and had six advertisements debut during the 2013 Academy Awards — company co-founders Ryan Wines and Brian Hall asked several artists on their roster (Dolorean included) to cover each other’s songs for an upcoming benefit compilation. The 12-track collection is out digitally on August 27, but SPIN is streaming Dolorean’s contribution right now. The Al James-led outfit turns in a folk take on Radiation City‘s lo-fi, blues-imbued “The Color of Industry.” All proceeds from the Marmoset compilation will go toward local non-profit Rock’n’Roll Camp for Girls, which, yes, is as awesome and admirable as it sounds.
