Colette Parties Across Chicago for ‘Best of Days’ Video

Colette 'Best of Days' Video When the music's loud

It’s been six years since Chicago house singer, DJ, and producer Colette released a proper full-length, so it’s no wonder she chose to make the occasion even more special. With When the Music’s Loud out today via her Candy Talk label, she opted to release a particularly personal video for the LP’s standout track, the Italo-disco-inflected “Best of Days.” The five-minute clip pays tribute to the parties of her hometown while also giving viewers a small window into her life.

Footage of Colette hanging with friends and enjoying quiet time in the studio is juxtaposed with shots of her inciting fans to dancing abandon at sunny outdoor parties and in dark clubs (including SmartBar, where she’s a resident DJ). And to make the video even more intimate, the director is none other than Colette’s husband, Thomas Nicholas, who starred in American Pie and Rookie of the Year.
