Colette has risen from the Chicago underground on the strength of her house-pilfering pop chops. And on August 27, the DJ, producer, and singer will unleash her third album, When the Music’s Loud, via her very own Candy Talk imprint. The electro auteur has already shared the upcoming LP’s Italo-disco-indebted title track, and now she’s dropped a second sample: “Best of Days” marries contagious ’90s thump to neon-bright ’80s synths. “This is our time,” Colette insists. “The feeling is right.”
