Boards of Canada Harvest Back Catalogue for Massive Reissue Series

Boards of Canada ended their reclusive spell earlier this year with the SPIN Essential Tomorrow’s Harvest, and now the Scottish duo are solidifying their comeback by reissuing their entire back catalogue. On October 21, Warp Records will re-release the electronic masterminds’ first three studio albums — 1998’s Music Has the Right to Children, 2002’s Geogaddi, and 2005’s The Campfire Headphase — on vinyl.

The retrospective series will continue on November 18, when the label reissues 1995’s Twoism mini-album alongside 2000’s In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country EP and 2006’s Trans Canada Highway EP. According to an official announcement (which thankfully didn’t involve any tedious scavenger hunts), a repackaging of 1996’s Hi Scores EP will arrive later this year by way of Skam

Each Warp reissue will come with a download code and an era-appropriate sticker design. Geogaddi and the In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country EP were both recut by Noel Summerville from their original DAT masters, while the rest of the Warp re-releases were cut from original metalwork. Pre-orders are currently available through Bleep as well as Boards of Canada’s official website.
