Crash Titus Andronicus’ Raucous Live Show in ‘Still Life With Hot Deuce and Silver Platter’ Video

titus andronicus, still life

Titus Andronicus frontman Patrick Stickles has been caught on camera belting out Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” with Diarrhea Planet and teaming with the So So Glos to power through the Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep Till Brooklyn,” but now we’ve got footage of the erudite punk tearing into one of his own anthems. Stickles and his Titus bandmates have just released a new music video for “Still Life With Hot Deuce and Silver Platter,” a six-minute show-stealer off last year’s underrated Local Business.

Directed by Bryan Schlam and filmed at Brooklyn’s Shea Stadium venue, the crashed-in clip dives straight into the New Jersey clan’s rowdy live show. Aside from a few stylistic embellishments — VHS static effects, cameras mounted on various instruments — the not-so-short short captures Titus Andronicus’ sweaty, earnest, sore-throated essence.

Watch the video above, take note of the band’s upcoming tour dates (including at not-long-meant-for-this-world New Jersey venue Maxwell’s) below, and check out their brand new website here
