Hear Pop. 1280’s Lecherous Soul-Crusher ‘Human Probe’

'Imps of Perversion' Cover Art

Last month, Pop. 1280 announced their impending second album, Imps of Perversion, by dropping “Lights Out,” a teeth-gnashing, crud-punk clanger. Now, the New York “pigfuck” foursome have shared another sample from their upcoming 10-track LP: “Human Probe” is a squalling, festering hunk of howling guitar, doomsday percussion, and presumably bad intentions. Frontman Chris Bug roars about “making lecherous plans” and “smelling the tulips,” proving that label Sacred Bones weren’t kidding when they promised an LP full of “stories of lust, sexual confusion, temptation, and debauchery.”

The follow-up to 2012’s The Horror arrives on August 6. Until then, listen to “Human Probe” below, and scroll further for Pop. 1280’s upcoming tour dates.
