Nine Inch Nails Debut ‘Copy of A’ and ‘Find My Way’ in First Live Show Since 2009

Nine Inch Nails, Fuji Rocks, 'Hesitation Marks,' live stream

Nine Inch Nails’ new album Hesitation Marks isn’t out until September 3, and the alternative-rock luminaries will set off on a North American arena tour this fall. First, though, Trent Reznor’s band embark on a string of festival dates, beginning today at Japan’s Fuji Rocks Festival with a set that’s being live-streamed in full on YouTube — just not in the United States.

The show began at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. According to Setlist.fm, NIN played Hesitation Marks single “Came Back Haunted” — yes, the one with the David Lynch-directed video — live for the first time, and also debuted previously unheard album tracks “Copy of A” and “Find My Way.”

“Unfortunately it’s geo blocked,” a NIN rep said in an email. “U.S. fans will have to wait until Lollapalooza to see the NIN set.” Sorry, Lana Del Rey and the Killers.

In the meantime (while it lasts!), audio has emerged of darkly seething set opener “Copy of A,” and video has surfaced of “Find My Way,” a slow, keyboard-driven brooder. There’s also video from the last half-hour or so of the set, including classics “Head Like a Hole” and “Hurt.” Check all that out below.
