MS MR Melt Brain Cells in TV-Addled ‘Think of You’ Video

Love-spurned New Yorkers promote debut LP with media-critiquing clip

MS MR made their network television debut on Late Show with David Letterman several weeks back, and now the electro-pop duo have returned to the small screen via the official video for “Think of You,” the latest single off debut album Secondhand Rapture. The just-released clip stars singer Lizzy Plapinger and producer Max Hershenow as they play the venom-spewing kiss-off tune on a fictional talk show (the stage setup recalls the Strokes’ “Last Nite,” for what it’s worth). A young boy watches from his living room before he’s literally sucked into the TV, becoming one with the colorful, trippy, VHS-like short. It’s part lyric video, part performance clip, and part Max Headroom. Watch it above.
