M.I.A. took the stage at Montreal’s Metropolis venue earlier this week, reportedly performing new song “Only 1 U” live for the first time. Fan-shot footage of the show is online, and while the clip isn’t immaculate — the bass is blown out, and Maya’s completely shrouded in darkness — it’s still video of M.I.A. playing a possible Matangi track. The lyrics mostly come through, but the pinball machine percussion and blinking stage lights shine best here. Even with shoddy audio quality, the gold-plated “Bring the Noize” maker remains “more jiggy than Will.” Watch it above.
