Lil Snupe’s Shooting Death Leads to Second Suspect’s Arrest

Lil Snupe

Another suspect is under arrest involving the shooting death last month of rapper Lil Snupe, who had recently signed to Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers label. As MTV reports, police in Winnfield, Louisiana, said they have booked 21-year-old Louisiana man Edrick Stewart into the city jail on manslaughter charges. Winnfield police previously charged 36-year-old Tony Holden with first-degree murder and other violations after he gave himself up on June 25.

Police haven’t yet revealed Stewart’s alleged role in Lil Snupe’s killing. Holden is being held in another location on a $2 million bond, and a bond will probably bet set for Stewart as well. Born Addarren Ross, 18-year-old Lil Snupe was reportedly shot twice in the torso in a dispute that police have said started with a video game.

Meek Mill was on hand for Snupe’s memorial service at his hometown Jonesboro, Louisiana, high school on June 29. According to the Shreveport Times, Mill said: “I’m never one to talk at funerals. I saw something in him. His demo tape spoke to me. I saw myself in him.”
