Liam Gallagher Named in $3 Million Paternity Suit by ‘New York Times’ Writer

Liam Gallagher paternity suit

Liam Gallagher d̶e̶f̶i̶n̶i̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ maybe fathered a child with a New York Times journalist, according to flurry of tabloid reports over the past 24 hours. The New York Post was first to get in on the news, saying that the Beady Eye frontman was being sued for $3 million by an anonymous woman who claims he’s the dad of her seven-month-old daughter. According to the Guardian, Gallagher would be “pursuing legal action” against the Post over the story, but then the New York Daily News upped the ante when they identified the woman involved, 39-year-old Liza Ghorbani.

The pair met in 2010 when Ghorbani hung out with Gallagher for the Times“A Night Out With…” column. According to the News’ source, “He started an affair with her that night, they took a few months off, then started again.” The relationship allegedly continued on and off for the next three years until Ghorbani told the former Oasis singer that she had a bun in the oven. The same source also claimed that Ghorbani was involved with another British rocker, whom it did not identify, and is “looking for money.”

Gallagher is currently married to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, with whom he has a son. He also has a son with ex-wife Patsy Kensit and a daughter from an extramarital affair during that relationship. Both Liam and Ghorbani have yet to comment since new details came to light. The case — filed as Anonymous vs. Anonymous — is set to proceed later this month.
