Kanye West’s ‘Black Skinhead’ Video Is a Cheapo CG Nightmare

Kanye West 'Black Skinhead' Video Yeezus

Above you’ll find (for now, at least) what may be be an early version of the video for Kanye West’s Yeezus single “Black Skinhead.” The animated clip appeared briefly on what appeared to a Universal Music Group staging site — a page set up so that others at the label, or the man himself, could review the product before it went public. Supporting this theory, that URL is now password protected. YouTube rips have popped up since, but each has been swatted down by Def Jam.

As for West’s official website, it currently features a static image of a pair of A.P.C.-branded button-fly jeans — the crotch region to be specific — and nothing more. The clip above follows several animated 3-D versions of Ye interacting with a mostly blacked-out environment. Sometimes he appears as a fairly true-to-life version of himself, while other moments find him in beast form or otherwise shrouded and distorted. The current rip comes courtesy of DDot Omen.
