Watch Florence Welch Pound Tequila and Sing Daft Punk

Florence Welch Daft Punk Get Lucky cover drunk

Florence Welch is no stranger to having the occasional cocktail. After all, she wrote her 2011 hit “Shake It Out” about a nasty hangover and once nearly burned down her hotel room after having 17 or so dirty martinis during a night out with Kanye West. And now here’s a video of her slugging some tequila and joining an unfamiliar covers band onstage to sing an impromptu rendition of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” at the South London Pacific.

According to the group Sourberry, the Florence + the Machine singer “hopped up on stage during our soundcheck and rocked out a couple of numbers with us while we warmed up.” Welch also graced the act’s annual summer party with a version of the Gossip’s “Standing in the Way of Control.” It’s fair to say the singer isn’t at her best here, vocal-wise, but her enthusiasm really does add something. Check it out above.
