Lemuria Welcome an Alien Invasion With Booze and Cake in ‘Scienceless’ Video

Lemuria

Lemuria have plenty to look forward to — the Buffalo pop-punks are in the midst of a lengthy tour supporting their latest album, The Distance Is So Big — but the three-piece are hunkering down for the apocalypse in the new video for “Scienceless.” In the above clip, the post-hardcore trio throw a party to celebrate an impending alien invasion, meaning they gorge on junk food and get drunk with friends who are all either wearing tin-foil hats or Roswell-inspired rubber masks.

“I wanted to make something for Lemuria using the idea of eeriness in the suburbs,” director and editor Sara Crow said in a statement. “Like there’s this super normal, all-American, wholesome life that has something kind of sinister lying underneath. Also, I think it’s hilarious that every six months there’s a new prediction for the end of the world and everyone just uses it as an excuse to get totally plastered.”

The Distance Is So Big, which features previously heard tracks “Chihuly” and “Brilliant Dancer,” is currently available for purchase on iTunes. Meanwhile, the band (guitarist Sheena Ozzella, drummer Alex Kerns, and bassist Max Gregor) are currently on the road in support of the LP. Find tour dates below.
