Jesse Woods specializes in haunted lo-fi folk; he’s a guitar-wielding ghost chaser in pursuit of an American landscape that faded long ago. Fitting then that the video for “Gold in the Air” — a Kurt Vile-ish tune off Woods’ upcoming debut album — plays like a home movie recovered from the 1950s. Directed and edited by Matt Grote, the hazy clip captures vintage summer memories from the U.S. of A.’s glory days. There’s roller coasters, station wagons, boys with clean-cropped haircuts, beach towels drying on a clothesline, kids digging holes in the sand, and more good, wholesome, Eisenhower-era fun. Watch it above.
