Primal Scream repped for “21st century slaves, a peasant underclass” during “2013,” the opening track off the psych-lifers’ upcoming More Light LP (due May 6 in the U.K.), and now the Glaswegian crew have commissioned another proletariat uprising via the new video for “It’s Alright, It’s OK.” The black-and-white clip blends bits of the Bobby Gillespie-led rockers performing in a cramped space with vintage footage of New York City’s grimier days. Superimposed on the ’70s-flavored mashup are a handful of slogans: “occupy everywhere,” “fall in love not in line,” “abolish alienation,” and “isolation feeds sadness.”
