Hot 97 unveiled part of the lineup to this year’s Summer Jam festival today (April 11), and so far, the 2013 roster boasts some of the finest MCs New York City has to offer. The annual concert, booked for June 2 at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, is set to feature Blue Chips kingpin Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, A$AP Ferg, Vinny Cha$e, Smoke DZA, Bodega Bamz, Troy Ave, Kid Ink, and Radamiz, who won the 2013 Who’s Next Battle.

Last year’s Summer Jam showcase was marked by what SPIN’s Brandon Soderberg labeled the “Worst Beef Ever,” after Hot 97 on-air personality Peter Rosenberg took a swipe at Nicki Minaj while onstage at the event last June. “I know there’s some chicks here waiting to sing ‘Starships’ later, I’m not talking to y’all right now, fuck that bullshit,” Rosenberg said. “I’m here to talk about real hip-hop shit. People here to see A$AP Rocky today. People here to see ScHoolboy Q on this stage. That’s that shit I represent.” This very public insult prompted Minaj to back out of her scheduled Summer Jam 2012 set, under direct orders from Young Money mastermind Lil Wayne.

Weezy later told MTV, “That’s a female, first and foremost. Nicki Minaj is a female.” Minaj’s creepy “High School” co-star continued, saying, “I don’t know what anyone else believes, but I believe females deserve the ultimate respect at all times no matter what, when or where or how.” Lil Wayne: bringing chivalry back one professional vendetta at a time.

Tickets for Summer Jam 2013 go on sale on April 12 at 10 a.m. EST.
