Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Flaming Lips, Matt & Kim, Father John Misty, De La Soul, the Darkness, and more are booked to play this year’s Great GoogaMooga Festival, organizers announced today (March 26). The three-day event takes place from May 17 to 19 in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park and promises food from 85 New York restaurants, 75 different beers from various breweries, 100 different wines from several wineries, and 20 live performances. Welcome to Brooklyn: your best source of lobster rolls and SPIN-approved indie rock.
Also on the bill for the second annual GoogaMooga showcase: Sharon Van Etten, Jovanotti, Lee Fields & the Expressions, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Cults, the Soul Rebels, Delicate Steve, Red Baraat, Pearl and the Beard, Jonathan Batiste, Banda De Los Muertos, Lady Rizo, M.A.K.U. Sound System, the Hot Sardines, and Marcelle Davies Lashley.
Tickets for the May 17 kick-off show and the VIP Cocktail Experience go on sale on March 28 at noon. Registration for complimentary general admission passes runs from April 1 to 3. Recipients will be selected at random and notified via email on or before April 10.
