Watch Sigur Ros Debut Apocalyptic ‘Kveikur’ on ‘Fallon’

Sigur Rós made their first television appearance in nearly a decade this past Friday (March 22), stopping by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to play the title track from their upcoming studio album, Kveikur (out June 18 via XL Recordings). The Icelandic trio previously described the forthcoming full-length as “more aggressive” than their usual brand of ethereal anthems, and this seething four-and-a-half-minute groove makes good on that promise. Watch above as the band’s smoldering, apocalyptic performance makes the End Times sound like a new beginning.
