Road warriors the Joy Formidable bring a slice of spontaneity to their newest video, “Little Blimp,” from their sophomore album Wolf’s Law. The short consists of live footage of the band’s recent concerts in London, Brighton, and at South By Southwest, shot with a Go Pro camera attached to the neck of frontwoman Ritzy Bryan’s guitar. The result is a jerky, up-close-and-personal view from behind the mic.
From now until mid-May, the Welsh trio will take the trek across the globe to North America. Remarkably, Bryan told SPIN earlier this year that she still finds something fresh during each performance. “From set to set, from tour to tour,” the singer/guitarist said, “We’ve always felt there’s a reinvigoration to playing live, and it keeps us on our toes.”
