Nicki Minaj ‘Freaks’ in Pasties for French Montana’s Video

Moroccan-born MC preps 'Excuse My French' for May

We’ve been looking forward to French Montana’s Bad Boy Records debut Excuse My French ever since SPIN dubbed him a Breaking Out star back in April. But the Moroccan-born journeyman MC is used to rolling with the punches — the album is now due out May 21. As he told us back then, “Nothing happens when you want it; it happens when it’s supposed to.”

Indeed, it was probably wise for Frenchy to get his ducks in a row for the release of his white-hot Nicki Minaj team-up “Freaks.” The song is fierce enough on its own — a tropically tinged club heater with game-topping performances from both of the artists — but the just-out music video for the track is bound to whip up a little extra excitement (cue the creepy male gaze). When the American Idol judge and SPIN Hottest MC appears in the colorful clip, she’s sporting pasties and a loosely tossed on blouse. She raps with incredible confidence, seemingly emboldened by the fact that her Barbz are running free. It’s a bit confusing (what’s the message here?) but also kinda badass, we guess. Did we mention we like Montana’s hat?
