Wilco teased the 2013 edition of their Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival way back in November, and now the Chicago six-piece have finally revealed the three-day showcase’s lineup. Too bad they used the most tedious method ever.
As per the festival’s Facebook page, performers, activities, and art installations planned for the June 21 to 23 event were announced alphabetically, one at a time, every half hour throughout business hours on February 13 and 14. Thanks for making it easy on us, guys.
Regardless, the festival’s full lineup has been confirmed: Neko Case, Low, Foxygen, Yo La Tengo (who are performing a full set and also live-scoring the film The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller), Os Mutantes, White Denim, the Dream Syndicate (playing their first North American show since 1988), and more are all on the bill.
Also scheduled: two headlining gigs from Wilco themselves, plus live sets from comedians Jen Kirkman, Reggie Watts, and the Daily Show‘s John Hodgman, who will program and host a comedy cabaret show. Scroll down for the full lineup.
“Early Bird” three-day passes to the festival, which will be held at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, are currently available for $124. Regular three-day passes will cost $149. Children aged 7 to 10 can get three-day access for $50, and kids ages 6 and under get in for free. A “very limited” number of single day tickets will go on sale in early 2013.
