Tyler, the Creator has at last announced a release date for Wolf, the highly anticipated follow-up to his defiant 2011 breakthrough Goblin. The Odd Future godhead his given to forthcoming set an April 2 release date and will share the album’s first music video tonight at 9 p.m. PST. Considering the special significance of today (Valentine’s Day, duh), we’re anticipating a tender paean to true love. Or maybe something like this:
WOLF. APRIL 2nd. ALOT OF GAY JOKES BIKE REFERENCES AND CHORDS STOLEN FROM STUFF I DONT WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT I YELL ALOT TOO
— Tyler, The Creator (@fucktyler) February 14, 2013
The deep-voiced rapper-producer got his Loiter Squad pal L-Boy to announce the news during a skydive (see the video below), in which dude also points out that Tyler is “gonna be startin’ this mutha fuckin’ tour around America in March,” with Europe to follow. These dates will, of course, feature goodies from OF’s Golf Wang clothing line. The album will come in a deluxe version as well, and features three different covers.
Get a good, weird look at Tyler’s on- and offstage lives in the Golf Wang photo book.
