Phoenix, Kendrick Lamar, Passion Pit, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gary Clark Jr., Solange, and more are on the lineup for the fourth annual Sweetlife festival, set for May 11 at Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion.
Also on the bill: Lindsey Sterling, Holy Ghost!, Youth Lagoon, Haerts, Robert DeLong, MS MR, Twenty One Pilots, and Shark Week. (Watch the full lineup announcement video up above.) Sweetlife 2013: A Music and Food Festival is organized by Sweetgreen, a network of eco-friendly and sustainability-focused health food eateries.
“What started out as a fun little idea of bringing a bunch of likeminded bands to a parking lot in DuPont Circle, has now blossomed into a massive multi-stage event with 18,000 attendees that takes place in one of the most famous amphitheaters in the country, creating, in effect, a platform from which to promote healthy living while celebrating with a wonderfully eclectic lineup of some of today’s most cutting edge artists,” according to an official statement from Sweetgreen. The single-day event will also feature food from many other local vendors and restaurants.
